This mixed use scheme, on the site of an existing television studio, was designed to enhance the character of the surrounding conservation area, replacing industrial sheds with modern work spaces and apartments. The development is broken down into distinct buildings of differing scales and materials, each responding to its specific setting.
The ground floor work spaces form an active courtyard, whilst a four storey block to the south houses apartments. The courtyard also provides new public pedestrian routes through the site further integrating the development into the local community and urban context.
Upon granting planning consent, the Chairman of the Lambeth Planning Committee formally commended our approach to public consultation and flexibility in meeting the needs of local residents.
