This single storey pavilion, just south of Tower Bridge replaces a derelict public convenience. The building was designed to sit modestly alongside a small public garden, forming the backdrop to a listed statue and, from within, framing views of The Shard beyond.
Slatted timber elevations provide protection and privacy from the adjacent roads. Facing the garden, the roof extends to form a canopy over full width glass screens which offer enticing views into a highly composed dining environment that belies the Michelin-starred exuberance and culinary drama that the building sustains.
